Amazon Fishing Tours: Guided Trips on the Amazon River in Brazil
Meet Our Hosts

Mark Bolton - Founder
I founded Amazon River Monsters in 2020 with the goal of providing the ultimate jungle fishing experience.. My first exotic fishing trip was to the Essequibo River in Guyana in March 2018, camping downstream of Fairview Village as a client. Since then, I’ve completed 22 jungle trips across Guyana, Suriname, and Brazil. Globally, I’ve also fished in Spain, France, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Greece, USA, and Canada. My jungle fishing highlight was a 252lb Paraiba Catfish caught in Suriname in March 2023. While catfish are my specialty, I've been fishing since age four, over 53 years now. I've fished across Europe, North and South America. So far I have cleared the 100lbs mark for the Redtail and Wells Catfish, 200lbs mark for the Sturgeon and Paraiba, and 300lbs mark for the Arapaima—all giants, all unforgettable. I'm also known as a strong people person—confident in leading, assisting, and advising clients on all things jungle and fishing.
